Shah was 21 when he launched Staffly in September 2026. His interest in business began at around seven or eight. He describes roughly nine years of learning and small experiments with computers, software and business before the formal launch, rather than nine years of running an established company.
He chose to build independently and used his personal savings to secure a small office in E-11/4, Islamabad. The space was secured in a day and made operational within two days. With only a few pieces of furniture at the start, he has continued to reinvest earnings in the business.
Shah estimates that he invested approximately PKR 500,000 gradually over six months, drawing on pocket money and salaries. Building the business has meant balancing advertising, recruitment and the practical costs of running a small office.
The first client and a replacement cook
Shah recalls being delighted when Staffly secured its first client under its own name. The placement then ran into difficulty: the cook asked the client for an advance salary, and the client requested a replacement.
With a small recruitment pool, finding another cook was difficult. Shah says he put the entire contract fee back into recruitment advertising. The team found and sent a replacement. The experience made the responsibility after a placement as concrete as the effort involved in winning the client.
As of 9 October 2026, Shah reports nine placements under Staffly’s own contracts. A cousin answers business calls, and a friend helps arrange staff for homes and offices.
One founder, two areas of work
Staffing brings responsibilities around people, placements and replacements. Software development brings questions about usability, accurate records and whether a product meets a team’s needs. Shah’s work across Staffly and StafflyTracker connects those interests while keeping the services distinct.
