About Syed Toheed Shah

Syed Toheed Shah founded Staffly to address a specific problem in Pakistani domestic staffing: households were hiring people into their homes, around their children and their belongings, on the strength of a verbal referral and nothing else. There was no standard way to confirm that a candidate was who they said they were, and no accountability when a placement went wrong.

He leads the placement side of the business directly. That includes setting the verification standard every candidate is held to, deciding which candidates are accepted into the pool, and handling the cases where a household and a staff member turn out not to fit. The guidance published on this site comes out of that work rather than from general research.

He also sets the terms Staffly holds itself to commercially: a single placement fee rather than an ongoing commission taken from a staff member wage, and a written replacement guarantee with a stated end date. Both exist because the alternatives are common in this market and both disadvantage the people doing the work.

Direct Involvement in the Work

The guidance published on this site is written from placement work rather than general research. Specifically, Syed:

  • Sets the verification standard applied to every candidate Staffly places, including NADRA identity checks and Police Character Certificates
  • Reviews candidates into and out of the placement pool personally
  • Handles replacement cases directly when a household and a staff member turn out not to fit
  • Works with households across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and other cities Staffly serves
  • Sets the pay and welfare standards Staffly asks client households to meet

How This Content Is Produced

Every guide is written against the same placement standard the business runs on: a 40-point verification process on every candidate, a single placement fee rather than an ongoing cut of anyone wage, and a written 6 months replacement guarantee. Where a page states a salary figure or a turnaround time, it reflects what households are actually agreeing rather than an advertised ideal.
